About our organization...

Since its inception in 1991, Ron Little Martial Arts, a member of the World Martial Arts Group, the American Federation of JuJitsu Arnis, and the National Association of Professional Martial Artists has been offering the community of Northwest Florida a comprehensive self-defense Martial Arts program. The curriculum of the TaeGunDo method includes a combination of three Martial Arts styles: Tang-Soo-Do from Korea, "Way of China Hand"; JuJitsu from Japan, "Way of the Cat"; & Arnis from the Philippines, "Way of the Stick". Ron Little, Owner and Master Instructor, holds a Master's rank in Tae Kwon Do\ Tang Soo Do (7th Dan), and (7th Dan) in JuJitsu / Arnis. He is also the Grand Master of the Tae Gun Do system. With his background, Master Little brings over 37 years of experience to the organization.

Ron Little Martial Arts first began teaching at Health Beat with a group of approximately 10 people interested in an alternative fitness and exercise program that emphasized techniques that could be used as a means of practical self-defense. As interest grew, the studio moved to a separate location at 3900 Creighton Road. During its first year it expanded to a satellite location at the Blue Angel Early Learning Center. After only three years, over 150 students were enrolled. RLMA then moved to a larger location at Tradewinds Shopping Center. Once again, in order to meet the growing needs of its students and community, RLMA moved from the tradwinds studio to 9255 North Palafox. We now operate from a 5000 sq.ft. fully equipped modern facility.

Instructors of Master Little:

I was very fortunate to have studied under many instructors over the past thirty six years. Many were National Champions and members of the Black Belt Hall of Fame. Some of what I was taught I agree with, and some I disagree with, but respect none the less. Instructors in JuJitsu, TangSooDo, Aikido, Shotokan and Arnis have helped me to form the teaching method I use here at RLMA. I would like to tell you in depth about each and every one of them, but that would be a history book of epic proportion.

So I will say, "thank you" to all of them, they know who they are. I would like to offer a special thanks to the three people who have helped me the most in assembling the information, in philosophy and application: my father, who, throughout the years, has helped me to see things in a realistic way; my mother who instilled in me a deep sense of right and wrong; and my wife, Cyd Little, without whose patience, support and keen business sense this school would not exist.
